Copper is an especially popular material for range hoods. Copper range hoods can be sealed to preserve the finish, or left unsealed to allow for a living patina to develop over time. Copper will change from bright orange to brown, purple, blue and green when left unsealed. Because copper is relatively soft, it is a perfect candidate for decorative edge work and unique textures for a truly distinct design.
